Stockholm Arlanda airport (code - IATA: ARN, ICAO: ESSA), the largest international airport in Sweden. It is located 42 kilometers north of Stockholm. The airport is the major gateway to international air travel for large parts of Sweden. Arlanda airport was used by close to 24 million passengers in 2016, with 19 million international passengers and 5 million domestic. The airport is connected to more than 130 international destinations. On April 1, 1962, Stockholm-Arlanda airport is officially declared open by King Gustav VI Adolf. Stockholm Arlanda airport has 4 terminals:

Terminal 2 - (gates 61–72) International terminal (Arlanda South). Terminal 2 was built in 1990.
Terminal 3 - (gates 51–59) Regional domestic (Arlanda South). Terminal 3 was built in 1990.
Terminal 4 - (gates 30–44) Domestic (Arlanda South). Terminal 4 has had its own express station for high-speed trains, connecting the terminal with Stockholm Central Station and Terminal 5.
Terminal 5 (gates 1–24 and F26–F69). International (Arlanda North).

The airport is open 24 hours. Terminal 3 closes at night. Shuttle buses provide a free transfer service between the terminals. The airport information desks are located in Terminals 2, 4 and 5.
Most food concessions throughout the airport operate according to flight schedules. These options are open 24 hours: Sky Cafe (Sky City) and 7 Eleven Express (terminal 5). Vending machines are available in terminal 2 and terminal 3.
Stockholm Arlanda airport has two banks (in SkyCity), ATMs each terminal and bureau de change in terminal 2, terminal 5 and SkyCity. There is a large selection of shops at Stockholm Arlanda, including duty-free outlets in Terminals 2, 4 and 5. Arlanda airport have mobile charging outlets available in SkyCity and at the gates in Terminal 4 and 5. Business lounges with fax and photocopying machines are located in Terminal 5. There are a number of hotels either at Stockholm Arlanda airport or in the near vicinity. Most local hotels provide a shuttle bus service to and from the terminals.
